MEET LEE

Hello, thanks for stopping by

I'm Lee, and this is my studio. If you were here, I’d serve you some coffee and a bite to eat. I operate best with real life interaction because, you see, I like people. I want to know where you came from, how you make your way through the world and why you do what you do. It’s part of the reason I love photography. I love shining a light on others to bring out all of their goodness. I have a genuine desire to connect with people and help them share their authenticity (their goodness) with others through images. I really want to take the time to get to know you and help you be seen for who you really are. Being in front of a camera is a vulnerable experience, and I want you to walk away from your session with a feeling of connection and happiness that you took the time to share yourself with me and the world.

My journey to become a photographer is filled with rich life experience, like the birth and growth of my children, where I realized the only way to freeze time was with a camera. Then there was the understanding that my desire to blend my natural ability to relate to people with my love of art, composition and creation was real, and it could be expressed through the medium of a camera.

In a previous life

I spent two decades working in health education and communications. That work helped me define my empathy, observation and technical skills. I learned a lot about human behavior on that path - listening to others and helping them see how change was possible. Transitioning to photography felt really natural to me. I took my life experience, my love of art and my love of humankind and combined them all together to create what I believe to be the best job on the planet!

My goal is simple:

I want to help you shine your light into the world to reveal your beauty, love and understanding in a world that often feels chaotic and energy depleting. I want to make positive contributions to humanity by documenting your story through images that can be shared and celebrated for generations to come.

I want to capture the essence of you, your family, your dog, your baby, your teenager or the great work that you do or make and share it with the world. I believe everyone deserves to have great photographs that document the serious, sad, happy, mad and messy moments we all create and encounter.
